The regular Board Meeting of Lincoln Legal Professionals Association was held on December 15, 2011, at Rembolt Ludtke Law Firm with the following board members present: Lisa Tollefsen, Heather Leuschen, Staci Williams, Leanne Alles, Mary Douglas, and Connie Frazier.
Approval of Minutes: The minutes stand approved as printed in LincolNotes.
Treasurer’s Report: There were no corrections to the treasurer’s report, and it will be filed, subject to audit. Expenses were reported by Lisa Tollefsen.
The following expenses/bills were submitted:
Linda Gavin: $5.19 for cards.
A motion was made by Heather Leuschen to approve the above bill. The motion was carried.
Officer Reports:
Vice President: Heather Leuschen reported that we have 50 members, two of which are student members.
There were 18 members and spouses present at the Holiday Party.
Chapter Representative: Mary Douglas received a notice from the NLPA for Call for Nomination for President. LLPA would like to nominate Mary Baker. Motion by Mary Douglas to nominate for NLPA State President for 2012 Mary Baker. Motion passed. The next executive board meeting will be January 28, 2012 in Lincoln, NE at Panera Bread on North 66th Street.
Committee Reports:
Program: Staci Williams reported that the January program meeting with be “Paperless Office & Other Legal Technologies” presented by Jeff Lapin and Patrick Driver from the Lapin Law Offices. The location of this meeting will be at The Green Gateau.
Charitable: Connie Frazier said that we had a good response with a large variety of items. The items were delivered to the Friendship Home on December 13th along with the LLPA Donation of $50.00.
Fundraising: No Report

Legal Professional of the Year: No Report
Boss of the Year: No Report
Courtesy: Lisa Tollefsen reported for Linda Gavin. Six birthday cards were sent out in the month of November.
LincolNotes: The LincolNotes deadline is January 18, 2012.
Scholarship: No Report
Nominations and Elections: Mary Douglas stated we should start preparing a slate of officers. The following list of officers are willing to continue in their current position for another year.
President: Lisa Tollefsen; Vice President: Heather Leuschen; Treasurer: Leanne Alles;Chapter Representation: Mary Douglas. Staci Williams is the current Secretary, and does not wish to continue with her seat. Names of potential nominees were discussed for the office of Secretary. Mary Douglas will contact these people to see if they are willing to serve in that capacity.
The nomination notice will be put in the January Lincolnotes.
Website: Lisa Tollefsen reports that pictures that were taken from the fall seminar are posted on the website, and pictures taken from the Holiday Party will be posted soon.
Historian: No Report
Facebook: Lisa Tollefsen reported for Jill Tinnelly that 79 people like the page. Connie Frazier and Heather Leuschen did not have time to go on the page to have their friends like the page. They will contact Jill to have her put them on as administrator when they are available to do the task necessary.
Staci Williams asked that if pictures are loaded to the LLPA website that they also be emailed to Jill Tinnelly to be added for the facebook page.
Parliamentarian/Bylaws: Lisa Tollefsen reported that a new Standing Rule needs to be created regarding the new scholarship requirements.

New Business: Lisa Tollefsen reports that the speaker for the Member Appreciation luncheon meeting will be Tom Cassidy, the former Lincoln Chief of Police, and current Public Safety Director for the City of Lincoln. We will need a venue for this event. Heather Leuschen will look into locations.
